“Academics in Banská Štiavnica” is a traditional event we simply cannot miss.

As proud successors of the Mining Academy, we once again spent a wonderful time in Banská Štiavnica this year together with our students.

On this day, the town and the academic community commemorate the founding of the Mining Academy by reading Maria Theresa’s proclamation, laying wreaths at the sculpture dedicated to the academy, and taking part in a ceremonial procession to the school vestibules in the Botanical Garden, where the celebration continues.
