Today, symbolically on the feast day of St. Barbara, we ceremonially unveiled the statue of St. Barbara — the patron saint of all miners — in the premises of the Mining Pavilion. She is also a symbol of courage, determination, and solidarity — values that never go out of style and that have accompanied the mining craft for centuries, as well as the academic community of our FBERG Faculty. We thank all the guests who honoured us with their presence on this festive day, and especially Father Urban, who solemnly blessed the statue.

May her presence accompany all students, teachers, and visitors who come to us, and may it remind them of the preciousness of mining traditions.
