Faculty Round of the “Student Scientific Conference 2026”

The Student Scientific Conference 2026 at FBERG, held on April 29, 2026, now knows its winners.

A total of 16 students participated in the conference, and the results for each section are as follows:

Section S1 Earth Sciences:

  1. Bc. Kamila Slaninková, ÚGV, 2nd year MSc., GI, Ti-Nb-Ta oxides from selected localities of fractionated Gemeric rocks,
  2. Bc. Matúš Nagy, ÚGKaGIS, 2nd year MSc., IGaKN, Multisensor verification of LPIS boundaries and land use using remote sensing (RS) and GNSS methods,
  3. Bc. Samuel Janočko, ÚZZ, 2nd year MSc., GT, Evaluation of geological heritage in the context of geotourism development – a bibliometric analysis.

Section S2 Management and Logistics:

  1. Viktoriia Shyriaieva, ÚLaD, 3rd year BSc., DLP, 3D visualization and simulation of the packaging process,
  2. Bc. Filip Timko, ÚRaIVP, 2nd year MSc., RPZaSS, Control of a laboratory object using an advanced control algorithm,
  3. Bc. Viliam Matisko, ÚRaIVP, 2nd year MSc., RPZaSS, Design of a smart home using the Home Assistant platform.

Section S3 Mineral Resources, Ecology and Environment:

  1. Bc. Adam Danko, ÚZZ, 2nd year MSc., ZPaBT, Optimization of technological procedures in underground excavation using the NRTM method,
  2. Martin Kóša, ÚZZ, 1st year BSc., OŽPaES, Environmental pollution by salt after the termination of mining in the Prešov I Solivar area,
  3. Bc. Alcides Eduardo Rodriguez, ÚZZ, 2nd year MSc., VAZE, Assessment of the applicability of solar radiation quantification using Arduino-based devices.

The Zväz slovenských vedecko-technických spoločností (ZSVTS) and the Slovenská banská komora (SBK) awarded prizes as follows: financial awards from SBK were granted to Bc. Kamila Slaninková and Bc. Adam Danko. Viktoriia Shyriaieva received recognition from ZSVTS and was named a ZSVTS ambassador.

We warmly congratulate all awardees and wish them the best of luck in the international round.
