Yesterday, FBERG TUKE hosted the Golden Graduation Ceremony for graduates of the Faculty of Mining of the former Technical College (VŠT) in Košice.

Fifty years after completing their studies, the alumni returned to their alma mater to tour the Technical University of Košice campus, visit laboratories and explore the faculty’s modernised and renovated facilities.

The ceremonial presentation of commemorative diplomas took place in the Delius Pavilion. The event culminated at the statue of Saint Barbara, the patron saint of miners, where the Dean, Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Michal Cehlár, PhD., presented special commendations as an expression of profound respect and gratitude for many years of dedicated work, outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the faculty.

The commendations were received by Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Pavol Rybár, PhD., and prof. Ing. Vojtech Dirner, CSc.
