This year, the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Association of Slovak Scientific and Technical Societies announced the 28th annual awarding of outstanding Slovak scientists from all fields of science and technology - the Slovak Scientist of the Year. The award ceremony took place on 24 June 2025 in Bratislava. The Slovak Scientist of the Year 2024 was the Vice-Rector of TUKE for Science, Research and Doctoral Studies, prof. Ing. Ivo Petráš, DrSc. from FBERG TUKE.
