The Dean presented our highest distinction – the Honorary Order of FBERG – to Mr. PaeDr. Ľubomír Betuš, CSc., Chairman of the voluntary Civic Association of the Civil Protection Union – East, in recognition of his outstanding lifelong work and extraordinary contributions to the development of the faculty.

Through his activities, he significantly supported the faculty in developing pedagogical and scientific work, particularly in the fields of rescue services, fire protection, occupational health and safety, as well as the emerging field of civil protection of the population. He did so by sharing his extensive knowledge and experience in teaching, directly engaging in classes, consulting on final theses, participating in defense committees, and co-authoring 23 publications with the Department of Mining Sciences. These publications are intended for children in kindergartens and primary schools, as well as for secondary school and university students.

In return, the Dean also received an Honorary Recognition from the Civil Protection Union – East.

We sincerely thank him and look forward to further cooperation, especially in developing new activities for the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic in this field.
